About the Department

The Department of Psychology at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University has been established in 2026 with the vision to foster a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour, mental processes, and individual differences through quality teaching, research, and experiential learning. The BA Psychology, NEP-approved, program provides students with a strong foundation in major areas of psychology, including cognitive, social, developmental, clinical, health, and positive psychology. Through an engaging and student-centered learning environment, students are encouraged to develop critical thinking, scientific inquiry, effective communication, and an appreciation of the diverse factors that shape human behavior.

The department strives to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application through psychological experiments, assessments, research projects, field-based learning, workshops, seminars, and other academic activities. It promotes ethical and socially responsible practice and encourages students to apply psychological knowledge to contemporary individual and societal challenges. With an emphasis on research orientation, professional competence, and holistic development, the Department of Psychology aims to prepare students for higher education, research, professional careers, and meaningful contributions to society.
